Last year, the Sanibel Symposium celebrated its 12th iteration on the stunning shores of Bonita Springs, Florida. While many enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere provided by the luxurious venue, those who were unable to attend in person still had the chance to enjoy the event virtually from the comfort of their own homes, joining via webcast using the hybrid virtual event platform.
Exhibitors were able to showcase their cutting-edge products, services, and technologies to a targeted audience of cardiac professionals, researchers, and experts. However, the highlight of last year’s Symposium was the compelling presentations given by our esteemed keynote speakers. We were fortunate enough to hear from the likes of Bill Schutt, Sherye Green, Mildred Janzen, Jesse Torrence, and Richard Issitt.
They spoke on various topics including the history of blood transfusions and intraoperative immunoadsorption. Some of our speakers even shared more personal and inspiring stories of their survival in World War II and talked about reigniting one’s purpose in a demanding and often thankless profession.

How to Prepare for Sanibel Symposium 2024
Buy Your Ticket(s): The most important thing you need to do to prepare for Sanibel 2024 is to register for the event. If you register now until April 30, 2024, you can get your tickets at regular prices. You can still register on May 1 and onwards, but it’ll be a little pricier under the Last-Minute rates. Don’t wait until the last minute; buy your tickets now!
Transportation: Depending on where you’re traveling from, you might need to book a flight. At just 20 minutes away from the resort, the Southwest Florida International Airport is the most convenient option.
Parking: From there, you can take a taxi or ride-hailing service and it would just cost you approximately 45 USD. You may also go with a car rental as self-parking at the resort is discounted to 9 USD per day with in/out privileges for those staying at the Symposium’s hotel block.
Packing: When packing, it’s best to consider your plans for each day. If you’re planning on joining some of our night activities, plan to bring some evening wear alongside the professional attire you’ll be wearing during the conference.
